Our Lady of San Juan de los Lagos is a title of the Blessed Virgin Mary venerated by Mexican and Texan faithful. The original image is a popular focus for pilgrims and is located in the state of Jalisco, in central Mexico. Legend has it that in 1623 a six-year-old circus girl who died after falling from a trapeze onto a bed of machetes, came back to life when a statue of the Virgin Mary was placed over her body. The statue, named after the town where the miracle occurred, became known as the Virgin of San Juan de los Lagos.

We pray that you, Most Holy and Immaculate Virgin of San Juan, guide us throughout our lives. Please make us aware of the needs of others and also help them through our prayers. Give us spiritual strength so that we may be close to your Son, Jesus, and through him we may have Love and compassion for others.
